Request Reactivation of DICE Access:
If your DICE access has been deactivated (Users did not log on in the last 90 days), contact the DEA Service Desk at (571)362-4357 to have your account reactivated. DEA Service Desk will confirm you are currently vetted with EPIC and reactivate your account. Users must log in within 24 hours of receiving the temporary password to reactivate your account or you will be locked out!
Avoid reactivation issues by logging into DICE at least once every 90 days!
To request a DICE System Account:
Go to https://esp.usdoj.gov (‘http’ must have an “s” at the end to ensure secure access.) Once the Welcome Page is accessed, select the box marked ‘Request Access’ to begin DICE and/or EPIC access request.
The system will move to the “Applicant Information” page where each applicant must provide all required information. You will be requested to provide contact information, to include phone number and e-mail address for your first line supervisor. Your supervisor will receive an automatically generated e-mail and must send a confirmation by using the link provided in the e-mail or by responding to the EPIC DICE UAM e-mail.
If the supervisor does not respond to the automatically generated e-mail, the UAM team members will terminate the EPIC portion of the DICE vetting process.
Once EPIC UAM personnel receive confirmation from the supervisor, the EPIC (DICE) background check is favorable and the application has been approved by the agency supervisor and sponsor, access to DICE system will be granted.
If the DICE UAM does not receive a response from the supervisor and sponsor within 21 days of the initial application, the request is automatically removed from the queue and a “denied” e-mail is generated by the system. The requestor and supervisor are automatically notified by e-mail when the DICE access request is denied.
After you submit your Request for Access form and have been successfully vetted by EPIC UAM for DICE, you will receive a confirmation e-mail stating that you have approval. The confirmation e-mail will be sent to the address that you provided on the request form. Once approved, your DICE access request will be processed and you will receive an email from DEA.Service.Desk@usdoj.gov which will contain a link to the DICE website, username, and temporary password.

Applicants are required to provide the name and e-mail address of a first-line supervisor who is notified automatically of the access request. The supervisor is responsible for validating or not validating the request by utilizing the hyperlink in the e-mail notification. The supervisor must respond. Supervisors are not required to have a DICE account.
